UKATA Registered Asbestos Contract Manager - Director refresher

Upon completion of the course the candidate will be required to demonstrate their competency by undertaking a three part assessment consisting of a multi choice exam requiring an 80% or higher pass mark, designed to test the candidates knowledge and a practical assessment including full decontamination procedures using a fully set up decontamination unit, correct transiting procedures and full RPE inspection and fit checks, followed by the auditing of a simulated work area and associated paperwork.

Our UKATA registered category ‘C’ Licensable Asbestos Removal Contract Manager / Director Refresher course is to allow those candidates who have worked in the asbestos removal industry in the previous year to be updated and refreshed accordingly, according to there training needs analysis.

Aims & Objectives Whose this course for?

To ensure that all candidates have their asbestos management skills, knowledge and hands on experience evaluated, by way of practical and theoretical testing, in simulated situations.


The course aims to create real time situations to allow the management skills to be tested bin a variety of situations, based upon real time situations gathered through un announced site audits.

Assessment
The refresher course is based on three parts and includes theory and practical elements on a 50 / 50 basis. The course will take into account all elements of  training as detailed in chapter 4 of the contractors’ guide.

THEORY
The theory element of the course is based upon the training needs analysis supplied by the candidates employer.

In the absence of  a training needs analysis assessment, a multi choice question paper will be given to allow the trainer to assess the competency of each candidate.

Upon completion of the test, a course will be tailored to suit the candidates requirements.

PRACTICAL
The second part of the course involves a practical session which includes RPE checks, Decontamination and transit procedures.

AUDITING
The third part of the course involves an evaluation of a simulated work area, including checking the method statement and site paperwork
