Regulation 13 of the Control of Asbestos Regulation 2006 clearly defines your responsibilities.

The ACoP supporting these regulations L143, Work with materials containing asbestos and HSG 247, Asbestos the licensed contractors’ guide requires monthly RPE checks to be carried out by a ‘Competent Person’

The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require you to ensure that you have a safe working environment.

· The Control of Substances Hazardous to  Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH)

· The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006   (CAR)

· The Control of Lead at Work Regulations    2002 (CLAW)

· The Ionising Radiation Regulations 1999   (IRR)
